Josh grew up in San Diego, California where he started playing for the elite club San Diego Surf. While playing with this club, he was nominated for the ODP and ODP regional team. In 2005, Josh moved across the country to Morgantown, Pennsylvania to be closer to his family. He attended Twin Valley High School where he earned all-county and all-division honors between Sophomore and Senior year. He finished his high school career with 27 goals and 22 assists as an attacking mid/forward. During his high school time, Josh played with the BSA Rage and their Super Y team and competed in their North American National Championship tournaments. He then switched clubs to FC Revolution and played in the NPSL at the age of 16. He later joined another NPSL team, FC Sonic, for a year. Josh attended West Chester University where he earned an athletic scholarship as an attacking mid/forward. Josh is technically gifted with the ball, and hopes to teach others how to excel technically with the ball as well. He stresses good fundamental soccer with advanced tactics and heightened awareness.
